Ryans Halloween Party!!

So Ryan had his Halloween party at school today. It was awesome. They made witches stew, played Halloween bingo, made ghosts with painting their hands, and played Halloween bowling. I was fortunate enough to be able to help out with the party. I was in charge of the bowling. We bowled with little pumpkins and hit pop bottles painted like ghosts. They had so much fun. Ryan looked so cute in his cowboy outfit. Then they did their Halloween parade and showed all the parents their costumes. It was a great time. I am so glad that I am able to participate in his school activities. My parents both worked and weren't able to come to my school activities, so I am truly blessed to be able to share in these moments in my kids lives. I can't wait to go trick-or-treating tonight. The kids always love to run from house to house. I will post those later.

Jordyns first Halloween party!!

Jordyn had her Halloween party at school today. They sang songs to the parents and then they had a bunch of different activities for the kids to do. They had a cake walk, a fishing pond, blow up jumper things, a haunted alley and pizza and drinks. She had a blast. Here are some pictures of all the fun!

Painting Pumpkins!!

The two on the left are Ryans, the middle two are mine and the two on the right are Jordyns!

We finally painted our pumpkins! We bought our pumpkins last week, but Ryan wasn't feeling good and then I wasn't feeling good so we kind of delayed painting them. Well I decided today that they needed to get done. I still am not feeling good, but Halloween is on Friday. So I brought up the stuff and put some paint on the kids plates and let them go to town. I did mine pretty fast and then just let the kids do theirs. Well Ryan finished after a little bit then went outside to play, but Jordyn was in her element I swear. She was having a ball painting them. I would say she painted her two pumpkins for about a 1/2 hour after Ryan finished. She was just in there singing and painting. She painted them so long in fact that they are kind of a grayish color because all her colors just mixed. It was great. I love doing these kinds of things with my kids. Right now I think they are to young to really carve so we just paint (plus painting is alot less gooey!).

Another one bites the dust!

I finished another one. This one is really simple, but I love it. The kids are both sick today with fevers, so they are just watching television and laying on the couches, so I decided to try and do a page. I had this picture taken a while ago and it seemed like a perfect one to include in the calendar since it is all about the grandkids. I think it turned out great. I am over half way done now! :)

Fun Weekend!!

So we went to Park City on Saturday and hung out with Linda and her family for the day. It was a blast!! I have lived in Utah my whole life and never been to Park City! We went to the park and the kids had a blast. There was a zip line that Ryan loved and a little digging thing that he couldn't get enough of. Jordyn liked the red rope climbing thing and the swings. She has always been a fan of swings. Right before we left the park we decided to push Dusty in the tire swing. Oh what a riot that was. He was going so fast I thought he was going to puke, but he was totally fine. Then we went back and got in the pool and hot tubs. OOhhh! They were heaven. The kids were way excited to be able to go into the hot tubs as well. There were like six of them so the kids decided to have one all to their selves. They loved it. Then we had a bar-b-q and went and played bingo and uno flash-I still don't think that button was broken Reg. :) All in all it was a great day. Thanks so much to Linda and Reg for inviting us up!! Pumpkin Patch!!

So we went to the pumpkin patch on Monday and I felt really bad because I was totally not into it this year for some reason. I forgot to bring my camera, so the picture is of last years pumpkin patch adventure. The kids still had fun. They got to bounce on the inflatable bouncer things, they got to go down the giant pumpkin slide, well everyone but Garrett. He is getting to big for some of the stuff :( They got to go through the "Lighted Alley" which is just a bunch of lighted up Halloween decorations, then they got to pick their pumpkins. We haven't even painted them yet-a later post to come!! I don't know what was wrong with me. I usually enjoy it tons, but i just wasn't into it. Luckily the kids didn't notice. They had a great time and that is all that matters!!
