Dry Creek Canyon hike

Dusty took his vacation this past week and this week so we have been trying to squeeze in some fun family activities.  We went up A.F. canyon to go hike up to Silver Lake, but the trail was closed :(  On our way back down we saw this trail and decided to try it out.  It was a really beautiful and nice trail.  We got to see some really pretty country :)  It got to a point where it was really hot and no shade and kinda steep up hill, so we turned around, but I would love to go further on this hike.  I guess it goes all the way over to Alpine if you follow it all the way.  We enjoyed it and the kids had some fun too!

Camping Aug. 2012

We went on our first camping trip for this year in August.  We usually go a lot more than that, but this year has been kinda weird.  We went to payson lakes so we would have water to play in and I remember going there as a kid and having a blast.  It was fun.  The lake was super low though, which made it kinda lame, but we did go hiking and stuff, so it was still a really fun time.  We went on a small hike to the Grotto one day for the kids, and they really liked it.  Then we went on another hike that was a real nice long hike called loafer mountain.  It was a great time to get out of the house and be in nature.  Loved it!!! Hopefully next year we will go camping a lot more :)

First day of School 2012

Ryan and Jordyn started school on Aug. 21. They were both pretty excited to go this year. Mostly because they missed their friends that they only see in school. I had a hard time with Jordyn this year :( She is becoming miss independent and it makes me sad. She wants to wear what she wants to wear and pick out how her hair is gonna be that day and everything. My baby isn't a baby anymore :( I know our kids have to grow up, but I'm not gonna say that I like it! Anyway, the kids are excited for school and so am I. I get to get back to a routine and have my 6 hours a day to myself to get things done without having to worry about the kids. Ahhhh gotta love when school start :)
