Cornbellys 10/15/2012
I took the kids to cornbellys for the last day of their fall break. They had a blast. They went down the zip line, climbed the rock wall, rode the bull, shot some corn out of a gun, did the maze and soooooo many other things as well. They really enjoyed themselves and so did I. They are growing up so fast that I am cherishing every moment that I get to spend with them. :) Here are some pics of some of the fun we had!

Dry Creek Canyon hike
Dusty took his vacation this past week and this week so we have been trying to squeeze in some fun family activities. We went up A.F. canyon to go hike up to Silver Lake, but the trail was closed :( On our way back down we saw this trail and decided to try it out. It was a really beautiful and nice trail. We got to see some really pretty country :) It got to a point where it was really hot and no shade and kinda steep up hill, so we turned around, but I would love to go further on this hike. I guess it goes all the way over to Alpine if you follow it all the way. We enjoyed it and the kids had some fun too!

Camping Aug. 2012
We went on our first camping trip for this year in August. We usually go a lot more than that, but this year has been kinda weird. We went to payson lakes so we would have water to play in and I remember going there as a kid and having a blast. It was fun. The lake was super low though, which made it kinda lame, but we did go hiking and stuff, so it was still a really fun time. We went on a small hike to the Grotto one day for the kids, and they really liked it. Then we went on another hike that was a real nice long hike called loafer mountain. It was a great time to get out of the house and be in nature. Loved it!!! Hopefully next year we will go camping a lot more :)

First day of School 2012
Ryan and Jordyn started school on Aug. 21. They were both pretty excited to go this year. Mostly because they missed their friends that they only see in school. I had a hard time with Jordyn this year :( She is becoming miss independent and it makes me sad. She wants to wear what she wants to wear and pick out how her hair is gonna be that day and everything. My baby isn't a baby anymore :( I know our kids have to grow up, but I'm not gonna say that I like it! Anyway, the kids are excited for school and so am I. I get to get back to a routine and have my 6 hours a day to myself to get things done without having to worry about the kids. Ahhhh gotta love when school start :)

Holy Catch Up!!!
I cannot believe it has been since April that I posted! Life has just been crazy busy i guess. Well I started my externship at the Gastroenterology (say that 5 times fast!) department and I really like it. My house has paid the price with me working full time, but I at least wanna finish my degree. Whether I use it or not is still up in the air, but I HAVE to finish. This past weekend my moms family all got together, some traveling as far as from California. It was great to get together for something fun, and not for something sad. We all had a blast. I miss them all so much. I hope this becomes a yearly thing. The kids are out of school and just enjoying their summer. My nephew came down for 2 weeks to stay with us and we went to Lagoon twice while he was here. It was bounce back, so we had to take advantage of $11 tickets! Jordyn was fearless while we were there and it scared me to death. I guess I will just always think of her as my little baby girl. With me working, the week is pretty boring for them, but we are trying to make the weekends more family time since we basically never see each other much during the week. :( My weight loss has unfortunately suffered during my externship. :( :( I get home and I just don't wanna exercise. My eating isn't helping much either. I am trying to get back to being good. I definitely do not want my weightloss to suffer because of a job. That is one of the reasons I may not work once I am done with my externship. Some may call that selfish, but sometimes you have to be that way. I have done to much to lose my momentum. Me and Dusty have discussed it and he agrees. My health is more important than any money I could ever make. We are fortunate enough to not have to have me work as well. Dusty is a very good provider, husband and daddy. I love him so much!!! I would post pictures, but there are to many to do that LOL! If you wanna see them, look on facebook (it is sad, but true!) :)
Well hopefully I can post more often and maybe have some proof through pictures :)

Hogle Zoo 4/14/2012
Today I took the kids to the zoo! Dusty was helping Jason hang some sheet rock, so it was just me and the kids all day. We haven't been in a couple years and I thought it would be a fun time. It was a little overcast, but that was perfect. Not to hot. It rained for like 5 minutes, but besides that the weather was awesome! The kids really enjoyed themselves, which was fun to watch. They oooed and awwed with every animal we saw. They are really big animal lovers. The funniest part of the day was when we saw the monkeys and gorillas. They decided that they were their brothers and sister because me and Dusty call them monkeys all the time. They would walk up to each window and say hi brother or hi sister. It was adorable. I had a great time with them. Here are some pics of our fun time.
When it decided to rain hard, we decided that was the time to ride the carousel :)

Valentines day and Lady A!!!!
When I heard that lady antebellum was coming in concert I had to get tickets! I have never been to a concert ( I know right! I can't believe it either) and I thought this would be a great one to go to. They were coming on valentines day too, so that made it even better. Me and Dusty could have our date all planned :) Valentines day came and so did Dustys sickness :( He couldn't even get out of bed. Poor guy! He really wanted to go with me, but I told him no way! I called my sister, Shelly, and she was more than willing to take his place :) DUH!! It was the awesomest concert ever!! Thompson Square and Darius Rucker opened for them. The husband in Thompson Square gave his wife flowers on stage, it was soooo cute!! Darius Rucker sang some of his old Hooty and the Blowfish songs, it was awesome! But Lady A was the BEST!!!! They sang all my favorite songs and for their oncore the sang I NEED YOU NOW!! Best best concert ever!!! I really wish Dusty could have been there because they sang all these love songs and people were dancing and cuddling and I just had my sister.............Um yeah not doing that with her :) But I still had fun and was glad my sister could come with me! My voice was totally gone by the time it was all over and done with from screaming! I loved it, loved it, loved it!!! So excited to go to another concert! I am hooked!

Waiting for the show to start!

The G!!!
So as you may not of noticed, this year we haven't really experienced a winter. I think we got enough snow to make a snowman once and it was gone the next day. Well today was an especially nice day and it's a Saturday, so me and Dusty decided that we wanted to hike to the G! Now some of you may not know, but that isn't the easiest of hikes for a person. It is mostly a really steep grade up. I did it all last year almost dying by the end, but I did it!!! This year was my first time and it was sooooo much easier than the very last time I did it last year. Don't get me wrong, I was still gasping for air at the end, but it just seemed easier to me. I guess my almost 100 pound weight loss could have something to do with it huh?? I am so excited for spring and summer this year! Camping and hiking and biking here we come. And look out cause you will not defeat me this year!! I will kick you square in the ass!!! I just want to thank my family and friends (especially you ww girls who inspire me all the time) for supporting me and helping me to achieve things that I never knew I wanted. I LOVE MY LIFE!!!

Merry Christmas---just a little late :)
I know this is a little late, but better late than never right? We spent Christmas at home this year. Just our little family hanging out. Me and Dusty woke up before the kids. This happens almost every year. We have not had a early xmas yet. Its been really nice. I know it won't last forever, so we cherish it!! Here are a couple of pictures of what the kids got. Jordyn got a password journal and a real fun game called Headbands and Ryan got a couple board games to play with his dad like Chess and Checkers and Battleship. They had fun playing those together on Christmas morning. Good Xmas this year! Me and Dusty got the best present of all I think though. We were able to pay off our house and his school loans this year! Dusty cashed in some stocks from work and it payed off our house and school loans, plus a couple little things like new carpet!!! We are so fortunate in our lives. We thank God everyday for all the wonderful people and things that he has blessed us to have.
