Ryans Halloween Party!!

So Ryan had his Halloween party at school today. It was awesome. They made witches stew, played Halloween bingo, made ghosts with painting their hands, and played Halloween bowling. I was fortunate enough to be able to help out with the party. I was in charge of the bowling. We bowled with little pumpkins and hit pop bottles painted like ghosts. They had so much fun. Ryan looked so cute in his cowboy outfit. Then they did their Halloween parade and showed all the parents their costumes. It was a great time. I am so glad that I am able to participate in his school activities. My parents both worked and weren't able to come to my school activities, so I am truly blessed to be able to share in these moments in my kids lives. I can't wait to go trick-or-treating tonight. The kids always love to run from house to house. I will post those later.

Jordyns first Halloween party!!

Jordyn had her Halloween party at school today. They sang songs to the parents and then they had a bunch of different activities for the kids to do. They had a cake walk, a fishing pond, blow up jumper things, a haunted alley and pizza and drinks. She had a blast. Here are some pictures of all the fun!

Painting Pumpkins!!

The two on the left are Ryans, the middle two are mine and the two on the right are Jordyns!

We finally painted our pumpkins! We bought our pumpkins last week, but Ryan wasn't feeling good and then I wasn't feeling good so we kind of delayed painting them. Well I decided today that they needed to get done. I still am not feeling good, but Halloween is on Friday. So I brought up the stuff and put some paint on the kids plates and let them go to town. I did mine pretty fast and then just let the kids do theirs. Well Ryan finished after a little bit then went outside to play, but Jordyn was in her element I swear. She was having a ball painting them. I would say she painted her two pumpkins for about a 1/2 hour after Ryan finished. She was just in there singing and painting. She painted them so long in fact that they are kind of a grayish color because all her colors just mixed. It was great. I love doing these kinds of things with my kids. Right now I think they are to young to really carve so we just paint (plus painting is alot less gooey!).

Another one bites the dust!

I finished another one. This one is really simple, but I love it. The kids are both sick today with fevers, so they are just watching television and laying on the couches, so I decided to try and do a page. I had this picture taken a while ago and it seemed like a perfect one to include in the calendar since it is all about the grandkids. I think it turned out great. I am over half way done now! :)

Fun Weekend!!

So we went to Park City on Saturday and hung out with Linda and her family for the day. It was a blast!! I have lived in Utah my whole life and never been to Park City! We went to the park and the kids had a blast. There was a zip line that Ryan loved and a little digging thing that he couldn't get enough of. Jordyn liked the red rope climbing thing and the swings. She has always been a fan of swings. Right before we left the park we decided to push Dusty in the tire swing. Oh what a riot that was. He was going so fast I thought he was going to puke, but he was totally fine. Then we went back and got in the pool and hot tubs. OOhhh! They were heaven. The kids were way excited to be able to go into the hot tubs as well. There were like six of them so the kids decided to have one all to their selves. They loved it. Then we had a bar-b-q and went and played bingo and uno flash-I still don't think that button was broken Reg. :) All in all it was a great day. Thanks so much to Linda and Reg for inviting us up!! Pumpkin Patch!!

So we went to the pumpkin patch on Monday and I felt really bad because I was totally not into it this year for some reason. I forgot to bring my camera, so the picture is of last years pumpkin patch adventure. The kids still had fun. They got to bounce on the inflatable bouncer things, they got to go down the giant pumpkin slide, well everyone but Garrett. He is getting to big for some of the stuff :( They got to go through the "Lighted Alley" which is just a bunch of lighted up Halloween decorations, then they got to pick their pumpkins. We haven't even painted them yet-a later post to come!! I don't know what was wrong with me. I usually enjoy it tons, but i just wasn't into it. Luckily the kids didn't notice. They had a great time and that is all that matters!!

I am halfway there!!!

Well I was pretty bored tonight so I thought that I would work on my little project and I finished 2 pages!! I am so excited. Now I am half of the way there. I'm not sure what months these will be for yet though. I am just excited to say that I am half way there. If you ask my sister shelly she can tell you that I have a hard time coming up with pages, so to say that I have finished 6 in such a short time is like totally awesome!

February!!

I finished yet another one!! Maybe I will have this project done by the time that Christmas rolls around. This one is for February!! Each block is going to have a childs school picture on it and then I am going to have them tell me what they love about their Grandpa. Cute huh!! I have to tell you this one turned out way better than I had hoped for. I am so excited about this project. Last year I secretly got me and my sisters and brother together and we went and took pictures for my dad for christmas. There was one of us all sitting and then another one of us laying down on our stomachs. They turned out awesome and my dad started crying when he got them. I hope that this calendar will get the same reaction. I love my dad so much and just wanted to do a gift for him that shows him how much.

1.I know this is like exactly what you said Chelsea, but it is the same for me on this one. I hate eating chicken off the bone. It just doesn't seem right to me for some reason. I think it is gross and disgusting.
2. I love office supplies. Going down the paper and pencil aisle in a store is fun for me. I don't know what it is, I just love it. The whole thing , the organizing the writing the filing. I should be a receptionist. It would be the perfect job for me

It Snowed, oh wait it's gone!!

So as most of you know, it snowed over the weekend!! I love the snow but hate the cold. If I could have it be warm and snowy my life would be good. It was gone almost before it came, but I had to take pictures while it was still here. What is really funny about the whole thing is that this weekend it is supposed to be near 70 degrees. Oh I love Utah weather :)

Another one!

So I finished another one!! This is the only pictures that we had of Garrett with my dad so I made it a 5x7 and rolled with it. Do you think that it looks okay?? I think it is simple, but cute. I want opinions and suggestions PLEASE!! As I said before, I am not the best scrapbooker. This one is the only one so far that I have thought of myself and not copied from somewhere. So please give me honest opinions. This one will go on May, because that is when Garrett was born.

My sweet angel!

So last night me and Dusty decide that we want to watch a movie. It wasn't a movie we thought the kids would enjoy so we said that they could play Lego Starwars in the computer room. Well after the movie was over, we go into the computer room to find this. Ryan playing, and our little Jordy Mae fast asleep on her daddys desk. I thought it was so cute that I had to take a picture. I don't know if you can see but she is wearing a cheerleader top and tinkerbelle wings.

August!!

I am so excited!! I have already finished 2 of the 12 pages I have to do for the calendar!! You have no idea how good that is. It usually takes me forever to do a page. I was actually a little hesitant to do the project in the first place, but I think that it is something that my dad will really enjoy.

For Christmas I am making my dad a 12 x 12 calendar and for the top of each page I am doing a scrapbook page, then when the year is over my dad can just keep the scrapbook pages. I just wanted to share the page I did of Jordyn and her grandpa. This one will be on November, because that is when her birthday is.

Freezer pear jam!!

So my visiting teacher came over and asked me if I wanted some fruit. Now I am all for free fruit, so I said okay. Well she gives me all these peaches and pears. So I am like I know what to do with the peaches, make freezer jam, but what to do with the pears. So I got online and decided to look for a pear freezer jam recipe. Well I found one, and oh my gosh! It is good. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I figured that I would try. Dusty says he really likes it, so yeah!! Tomorrow I will probably make the peach jam. I would just can the peaches, but I don't know how to can (or jar as chelsea call it :) ) and I don't have any of the stuff. I would like to learn though.

HEE HAW!!

Jordyns class went on a fieldtrip to Hee Haw in Pleasant Grove. We got to go out into the pumpkim patch and pick a pumpkin, we went and saw all the farm animals including a 1000lb pig!! The kids got to go down a huge slide. And at the end we went on a hay ride around the farm. All in all it was a great day! The kids had so much fun!! Ryan is going on a fieldtrip on Oct. 15 to a pumpkin patch also, but I don't get to go. The thing he is most excited about is riding the bus.

Cute Hair!!

So I picked Ryan up from school yesterday and I saw this little girl with her hair done so cute. So I was like I need to try this on Jordyns hair. So today when we got up to get ready for school I tried, unsucessfully, to do her hair like the girl that I saw. It didn't work, so I tried again, with Jordy being ever so patient with me, and I figured out how it was done. And here is the final result. Freaking cute huh? I love the criss cross action. I keep trying to find new ways to do her hair because with long hair there can be so many different things that you can do. I love having a little girl to experiment on.
